I'm trying to set up a WLAN between two laptops that are NOT connected to the internet in XP.
On one laptop I do the following:
Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Wireless Network Connection -> Properties -> Wireless Networks Tab:
1) Check "Use windows to configure my wireless networks settings"
2) Click "Add..."
3) Enter network name, Network authentication: Shared, Data encryption: WEP
4) Check "This is a computer-to-computer (ad hoc) wireless network; wireless access points are not used". Click OK
5) Back in the tab, select the network, click "Advanced". Select "Computer-to-computer (ad hoc) networks only"
Now, I expect that on the other laptop, it should detect it as a wireless network which can be connected to, but it doesn't. What's wrong?
