How to secure Mobo (Help please)

well I am working up a plan to build a case and I'm not sure how the mobo is gonna work in there. would you use a tray? If so how do you secure the tray?
 
Could you give a few more details, like what type of material are you planning on using for the case, size, thigs like that.

A generic answer would be to just hack the mobo tray out of an old case and mod it to work in the case your building. Sometimes that's the easiest way to go, as you can also use the backplate from the old case as well.
 
I'm planing on using aluminum. I not exatly sure about the size yet all I have is a concept. probably about a foot a tall and a foot wide.and mabey a little more than a foot long

BTW I'd like to have the case work with future motherboards if at all possible
 
if you're using aluminum, go to Home depot, or any other hardware store, and get a hand tap for $20, and then you can mark and place your board standoffs wherever you want.

one more question. Where can I find the measurements that the spaces for the HDDs and the CD drives?
 
Well if you can't measure your own then just google it, that seems to be the answer to all thses days. Should work just fine.
