Hello chaps,

Here's my situation, I own the following:

1 - Asus Crosshair (details)
2 - AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6400+ Black Edition
3 - Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA106A)
4 - BFG GTX 260 H20C
5 - Seasonic 600W PSU
6 - Water cooled by a Zalman Reserator XT

I'm interested in overclocking this system, i have installed all components and left them at whatever the BIOS chose. so i know for a fact that the memory is running too low.

Everyone seems to be concerned with the Intel CPU's at the mo, so i'm, not finding too many articles about overclocking AMD. Having never tried overclocking i'm wondering what i should adjust first? is there an application i need?

Any help or directions for my particular setup would be great

Thanks

since you have a Black Edition, that means your multipliers are unlocked, thats about the only way to get good overclocks out of it.
