how to move location that windows uses to store desktop files

I have 2 drives, my 30 gig ide 'windows' drive, and my raid 0 array. I want to tell windows to use "E:\desktop\" for storing the files on my desktop, instead of "C:\documents and settings\..." Is there a reg tweak or something like that?

Right click on my documents -> Properties -> Move

i have tweakUI installed at home.. i think it might do that.. i can check when i get home..

or you can get it anyways... since you seem like like to tweak your system.. but tweakUI might have that..

TweakUI can indeed do this. It's under My Computer -> Special Folders. I set mine with Xteq, but it works great.

I totally forgot that tweak lets you change it.

My computer > Special Folders

It lets you change my documents, although fox mentioned an easier way, along with the desktop.

Do you want to just change the location of the folder holding the desktop items, or the user settings for your desktop? For the former, tweakui will work. For the latter, it will not.
