I have a 256 MB ASUS NVIDIA 5900 ULTRA. For some reason it is running way to hot. ( 60 degrees Celcius at idle!!) (45 degrees ambient temperature!) What should i do? I have heard of PCI SLOT fans but I dont know where to exactly get them. Suggestions would be great !

put a vantec spectrum under it ..maybe some ramsinks and a better heatsink. not sure. whats your case temp?

the fx cards do kinda run hot. i heard 50-60 is the norm for them, but im not sure.

my case temperature is 45 ish degrees Celsius. My heat sink is already giant and almost all copper. However the card unlike the 9800xt has two small fans instead of one big one!

Any more suggestions? Anyone could you please tell me how hot should it actually run at?

One of my friends has that card,he promptly suspended (wish I had pics, hehe, its getto) a 80mm fan 2 inches under it.It cooled it down nicely. He stated that it would be too hot to touch (gpu heat sink),and after it was barley warm.

yeah just put a vantec spectrum under it.
