How to install Windows on a laptop with no Floppy or CD Rom?

I was given a Sony VAIO laptop that's in pretty good condition. It's running WIndows 98 with 2 partions.

I'm trying to find a way to install WIndows 2000 fresh. Plus I wanna try to delete those partitions. It's a 12 gig drive that's missing 2 gigs.

I have a 3Com 10/100 Cardbus adapter for this laptop. I wanna try to make it loads windows through my desktop PC CD rom drive.

Any ideas that might work?

Does your mobo support boot to NIC?

I'm asuming it doesn't, so go buy a USB CD or something...
