I am looking into getting a fan controller with the LED display that shows all your RPM's and Temps and everything..but how would you go about installing the thermal probe to the CPU to get accurate readings...would you have to stick it on the side of the heatsink or what?

You can slightly force the probe into the heatsink. The readings will be a little lower than actual, but will be in the ballpark.

 UNLESS....

you wanna mod the mobo!

Yes, slide the probe into the fins. DO NOT try to put it in between the processor and the heatsink!

I say on the bottom of the heat sink of to the side so it doesn't interfere with cpu contacting the heatsink.
