How to increase bus speed?

Not knowing anything about bus speed, how is it, or is it possible to increase my bus speed? Currently I'm getting 233 MHz, which I assume is pretty weak.

we need more info. what processor and motherboard do you have? and what type of computer do you have?
 
It's an AMD Athlon 1.53 MHz processor, the mobo is some off brand, I couldn't get the mfg name, but the computer is a Compaq. So is it possible?
 
umm... if its a compaq, i doubt its possible, becuase the fsb is usually locked on compaqs, dells, etc. if you really want to overclock it, i would suggest buying a new motherboard, or getting some program like cpufsb or clockgen.

if you want to try it though, go into your bios and see if its available to change the cpu frequency.
 
ooh compaqs if your bios is an info center with no advanced features there no hope for your com coz i got the same prob
