How to improve this build?

I have a rig I've been using for a few years now and I have been updating it. Its pretty strong, but I want more FPS performance. I mostly play Planetside2, and in that game I am in the 40s to 50s, occasionally hitting 60 fps @ 1920x1200. I would like to get a more consistent play experience, but doing my research, I am having a hard time figuring out what to do. Here is my build:

ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. P8P67-M PRO
Core i5-2500K - I have it OCed to 4.3 with an Evo212.
Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB - My OS drive
OCZ-AGILITY3 Hard drive 120.03GB - My gaming drive
ST2000DM001-9YN164 2000.40GB - Data/Program drive
16 gigs Corsair Vengence DDR3.
EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked+ ACX 2.0
I also have a 1000Watt Platinum PSU.

So, what are my options? Is it worth it for any of the current options?

Well, with that 2500k at 4.3 you really will not see to much of an improvement in the cpu area, even with skylake (without a healthy OC). I would say try oc of your 970gtx first off. If that does not get you there maybe either add a second one for sli, or sell that one and go to a beefier gpu like a 980, 980ti or switch to the red side.

You might also try tweaking the game itself as you do have a pretty beefy rig.

Try getting to 4.5ghz you might need a better cooler like Noctua NDH15
