How to hide CD drives behind panels?

So I'm thinking about hiding my CDROM drive behind one of my case panels. The problem is, once it is hidden, I have no access to the eject button. So, what can I do? What parts can I buy to kind of extend the button out?

You use soft double sided tape and use one of those rubber feet things where the button is. When you press the plate in, the rubber thing will touch the button and cause it to open up.

glue a small object to sit between the panel and the button (try a clip off the side of the panel). if you leave some room in the mounting you'll be able to kinda bend the panel in slightly to depress the eject button.

its not a real smooth function, but its the only one ive heard of, besides rewiring the eject button to an external switch somewhere else on the case.

Regardless of what you meant it to be, it is offtopic and unnecessary, and is considered trolling. I'm not a mod so this isn't an official warning, but I am warning you that if you keep doing that then you will probably be banned.

Now, to get this thread back on topic. What you are doing is typically called stealthing and there are guides all over about it. Like the others have said, put a small piece of something behind the cover plate so that it just touches the eject button. Then you just push that corner of the plate and it should push the eject button enough to eject the cdrom.

My computer- right click on drive- eject

or- solder some wires where the switch once was. Relocate as desired.

Look in the case-mod FAQ under "stealthing cd-rom drives" or "stealthing external eject button", there are several links to useful guides *with pictures.* I used this one because it was EXACTLY the same case as mine. The non-computer savy will love this mod btw.

On my lian-li I just wired the reset button from the case (I never use it) to the cdrom eject button.
