I've a Media Player that is almost completely dead, however the on-board memory flash is not dead, i was looking to see if there is a way i can get my data out of this memory flash, basically is it the same flash memory that most of the USB Flash Drives use:

my budget is about $300 max, any way at all? i've contacted few data recovery companies and they quoted $500+
