Currently on Win 7 my pdf files if I display them as large icons, instead of showing a thumbnail of the cover of the pdf like in previews windows, it only shows me a PDF adobe generic thumbnail.

Is there a setting I need to check?

Hi Ladic,

This forum post explains why it doesn't work:
http://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/814728-pdf-thumbnails-not-working-in-windows-7-64bit/

For those that are curious, and don't want to click on a link, here's an excerpt:
Code:
The extension that generates the thumbnails is 32bit only, so it'll only be initialised by 32bit explorer or an 32bit app browsing through the folder with an open/save dialog.

Edit: You'll see the same thing with anything 32bit that is involved in thumbnail generation, 64bit explorer won't generate thumbnails for video files that only have 32bit codecs installed.

While this one presents a workaround. I have Win7 x64, so I tried it myself, and it worked for me:

Enjoy!
