How to extend Partitions

I want to upgrade to a new hard drive to replace my old IDE's and use one of the two 120gb as storage and maybe sell the other one. My one 120gb is partitioned to 15gb for windows xp and the other partition for storage. I would install the new harddrive with windows and use the 120 entirely for storage. Is there a way to extend the storage partition to the entire drive.

if it is not the system partition and you are on NTFS and you are using WinXP, then there is a way to do it using Diskpart. Otherwise, you may have to pay for a program to do it for you. Note: Diskpart requires free space - > no merging possible.
 
The one partition would be deleted leaving the storage partition, so yes, there would be all free space.

Maybe it would be easier just to install the new drive with windows, copy all the date from the old drive to the new drive, format the old drive and then copy it back over.
