how do i drain my loop? its not all internal so i cant just take it all out in one peice..

so how do i drain it without getting liquid everywhere? i dont care if it goes on the floor or not i just dont want it to leak into the case.. (my floor has a drain built in)
 
Basically, you dont. All you can do is tilt or set the machine so some easy to get at connection is not going to get fluid on the electronics when you crack it open. So you just have a bottle of some sort ready to put the end of the hose into as quickly as possible (not for saving fluid, mainly avoiding splashing) and a roll of paper towels. Hairdryers come in handy too. It takes 3 hands. If you tubing is pretty flexiable a clamp of some sort might help reduce the flow until you can get things under control.

There could be other solutions, one that comes to mind is the pumps you put on the end of an electric drill to drain oil from a car. Stick the hose down your tee line or in the res and suck it out.

In my setup I would dismount the GPU water block as that has some slack in the tubing so I could get it out of the case and crack it open with little chance of getting fluid in the case. After that a shot of low pressure compressed air would probally push most of the water out. Then you play "tilt a box" for an hour to get the last bit out of the rads. I drained my old machine once, I will avoid doing it again with all possbile effort.
 
i guess i should also state i do have a t-line with a fill port but due to where my pump is the line isnt that long..

edit: also when once i drain my loop i will be making changes to its routing. i have a q6600 and a 8800gts and a 240 bi-gts and my d5 vario

how should my loop be configured?

too many ways i just want it to look nice and clean.. right now its on pump,cpu,gpu,rad,pump but it doesnt look so nice :/

i can have pics tomorrow or something.. my batteries are dead in the cam so i gotta get to walmart tomorrow..(damn lithium..)
