How to disable login sound in XP.

How can I disable the login sound in windows xp?

I have a laptop, and i dont want the sound to go off at the start of class just because i forgot to turn down the volume before shutting down.

its extremely annoying in large lecture halls, and i dont want to be "that guy" (or girl, yes they do it too....)


edit: sorry im retarded. didnt even think to look in the control panel. ehh

Hello... Go to the control panel, then the sound options. All the sounds are under the sound tab. You can disable the login sounds there.
