Is there any way to change the drive letter of the system drive short of a reinstall? I recently installed my new raptor150 to replace my old system drive that failed. Windows moronically made the system drive E: and the media drive I had in C: (The media drive was formerly E: on the old install).

No me being the OCD person that I am this is driving me crazy but windows is refusing to change the drive letter. Is there some program I can use to restore order to my computer?

I had the same issue once and also had my primary boot drive as E:. Everything worked fine this way so long as I made sure installing apps pointed to E: and not C: as some do by default. As far as I know there is no way to change the boot drives/partition letter in XP.

Next time disable the second drive and then re-enble it after XP is installed on the primary drive.

i just went through this on my pc. there is a way to do it, and it's not that difficult.

you'll need to switch them in the registry. instructions are on the M$ website.
