How to buy a good W2207?

The official thread is way too long but I did learn from it that there is panel lottery again for the W2207.

Looks to me that the Samsung panel is the one to get and we should look for Rev STM001 on the box. Correct?

says on sticker of box "Rev: STM001" taht is 100% samsung.
 
Good. I also read that people checked the panel type by the Service Menu. Not sure if my local store will let me take the monitor out of the box and plug it in......

I will check the lable on the box for STM001.
 
Bahh, went over to Brandsmart and they have a whole stack of W2207 monitors. All I checked on top were either AMT001 or IMT001. Thinking of asking them to match Stapes $280 price.
