I have a 55" LG that I use for watching movies and TV shows (never as a computer monitor) and it has 120hz. I disabled it in the picture menu and it successfully disables it for normal broadcast TV as well as some SD shows from my hard drive, but when I tried watching an HD show tonight (Chuck) THE 120HZ WASN'T DISABLED AT ALL. I checked the menu and the setting still said "truemotion 120hz: off" but it's obvious that it was still showing it with the 120hz because everyone was moving ridiculously fast and it looked like a soap opera. I played the episode on my computer (Dell 2407WFP-HC) and it looked fine, no silly soap opera effects or any of that. Does anyone know what's going on here? I can't stand the 120hz effect and want to permanently disable it but I can only find that one setting in the menu and it's already off.

have you tried resetting the tv to factory defaults? Do that and unplug it for about 1 min.
