Can someone enlighten me on how text would looks like when displayed on a 42" LCD HDTV at 1366 X 768 versus 1920 X 1080? This is using the display with a computer, that is.

Thanks

1. Print out a sheet of paper full of 14pt text.
2. Go to your front door.
3. Hold the piece of paper against the other side of your screen door
4. Take a picture of it
5. Photoshop the brightness to ~200%

:p

Honestly. It'll be really big and really bright. You'll notice a lot of blockiness / pixelation.

So, I guess I need to shop for a Full HD 1080 display, then

normal text on a 46 inch SOny LCD 1920x1080 at approximately 10 feet? I can't see it, I have to get out the binoculars. Up close it is fabulous, but I would then have an uneven tan.

Ok, I reread my initial post and I forget to tell that the computer will actually be a HTPC in living room, so I will be 5 feet away minimum and up to 10 feet. I want to use the HTPC for watching TV and also to surf the net. The resolution and how readable it is will be my main buying decision but so far, aside from the westinghouse 42w2 I have yet to find a flawless 1080P HDTV monitor.
