Researchers at UCLA's Brain Mapping Center say that getting lots of "likes" on social media postings makes teenagers brains respond in a similar way as if they had won money. Makes you wonder what happens when they don't get any likes on stuff they post.

In a recent study, researchers at the UCLA brain mapping center used an fMRI scanner to image the brains of 32 teenagers as they used a bespoke social media app resembling Instagram. By watching the activity inside different regions of the brain as the teens used the app, the team found certain regions became activated by "likes", with the brain's reward center becoming especially active.
 
And once they grow up and learn that there is a difference between social media likes, and currency that you can pay bills with... will it change?
 
LCD monitor just Zap and arouse people to the point where they can't think for themselves. Having Ipad in school might prepare you for the future but I doubt many jobs just use a personal display device for everything.

This is bad, really bad. Kids are regurgitating things on social media they see/hear other people say that seems cool just to get more likes (be more liked) themselves. This is creating a weird reality where being popular (or louder) is more important than being logical and factual. I just watched a video of a 14 year old white kid apologizing for his white privilege and it's supposedly going viral. WTF is wrong with people and the shit they're indoctrinating our children with, seriously. Way too many social media organizations promote the regressive lefts talking points and then kids pickup on it for the 'likes'.

This is along the same lines as false digital rewarding. Look at this Pokemon Go epidemic where people are spending an extensive amount of time catching these fake rewards when the time could be spent furthering progress in their own lives. I own a video game store and I actually had a customer tell me they called off work to travel around town catching pokemon. Today's youth as a whole are ruined and we let it happen.

That is exactly it and the problem we are running into. It is quickly becoming about I and not about society. This narcissism that is being fed is getting to the point where we will have entire generations that have delusions of reference where they think everything going on is about them. This is a really big frickin problem.
 
Saying this generation is more about the "I" and not "society" is plain silly. Humans have never truly been about society over themselves. We always seek to better ourselves before others. Ancient Egypt, Pharos using slaves to build monuments, Ancient Greece a democracy until Caesar decided not to cede power back to the senate, Medivel Europe feudal caste system; keeping the downtrodden downtrod. Colonial America, we revolted over unfair treatment because the British considered themselves more deserving. Slave trade, speaks for itself I'd think. And let's not forget most instances of socialism and communism on a wide scale that quickly become more similar to a dictatorship or depotism.

Humans are dicks and we try to get ahead of others at their expense. It is not new to this generation, we hair have more tools at our disposal to accomplish and expose the acts.

When I was a kid, it was Dungeons and Dragons (the pen and paper sort) that was indoctrinating the children. Before my day it was comic books indoctrinating the children. After I was a kid was about when the Internet Superhighway started indoctrinating the children. TV has been indoctrinating the children before any of us was even born.

I was talking about teachers actually teaching this shit logic to kids in school and then others believing it when it's put onto social media. It's taught in school so it must be the truth! /s I personally don't remember reading about a (good) time when kids were being taught/told that they're guilty of something by default in elementary school before.

There is a difference (to me at least) between what you or anyone else does in your spare time compared to what they're actually attempting to make the norm now by teaching it to kids and spreading these views throughout the regressive left media. Kind of apples to oranges to me. Then again maybe we should just post a meme about how thinking of the kids is just silly and move on.

"Supposedly going viral" is the bullshit part. It has something like ~5,500 views, it going "viral" is pretty much manufactured by some agenda-driven folks looking for shit like this to promote. Reminds me of the "Debate team from Baltimore wins nationally", which ended up being some speed debate bullshit where "winning" was mumbling phrases as fast as possible.

I usually enjoy Huffington articles, but the majority of that one was just them complaining about what NYpost likes to report on. They barely refuted anything.

Your response article probably should've been outright denying such anti-white racist claims levied against them instead of just rewording their rhetoric into simple justifications for why these morons think it's okay to do it, to innocent children. Black children's 'parent' have been doing all the damage to them, no one else. Let's actually get real for once. By remaining on welfare thus having no father figure around and continuously teaching many of their low IQ children that they're always going to be the victims of white supremacy no matter what about sums it up. They lose (in reality) before their lives even really begin and the facts show us it's their own peoples actions that are responsible for it, not white peoples, at least not in many decades or now in 2016.

Are statistics racist? I don't mean that they are skewed to one way or the other. Can anyone say that statistics are biased towards one group of people versus any other? I wish for our country to be safe for all our children but let's face it, we are not to that threshold yet and it's still safer for certain people to walk through certain neighborhoods than others. Statistics can't keep you safe but inform you.

This..... is not the only ones like that.... that's the scary part. I've looked around youtube, after seeing my first, and there are tons of them, and it's not like it's the same debate either, it's different years, and different championships.

I run free antivirus software with free firewall software. I find the rest are just too regressive and lean way too far to the left. Slows everything down to a crawl. I always hated getting those false positives with premium versions that tried too hard. No safe spaces either and I never get viruses. Call it a common sense approach.
