How restrictive is Swiftech?

In comparison with Danger Den how restrictive is the Swiftech MCW6002?

That's comparong how restrictive Terri Hatcher is compared to Pamela Anderson. Kidding, which DD block are you refering to? The swifty by nature works much better in lower flow enviroments. See the interactive graph here. This should give you all the info you might need when considering what to purchase.

Actually the graph is what prompted me to ask the question. The Swiftech is in the same grouping with the Little River and Dtek, which I understand are better suited in high flow rate systems.

But, what I'm more interested in is determining which pump to pair with the Swiftech MCW6002. I want to install it with a Thermochill HE 120.2 with low rpm fans to keep noise minimal. Will the larger radiator require a higher gpm pump or will a Swiftech MCP350 pump keep up with the MCW6002 + HE 120.2?

With 13.5 ft of head pressure unless your are running externaly you wouldnt have any problesm your pump rad and block, however, the 6002 series is 1/2 inch. The pump is 3/8 ID so maybe it would be in your best interest to stick with the 6000 series blocks since they natively support 3/8 ID tubing.

Figured I would bump this thread rather than start a new one, this thread starting heading towards my general question...

I am trying to decide which block would work best with my pump. Currently I have a Danner Mag3 laying around but I am going to eventually switch to the Aquastream 50z. Also in the loop will be the Maze4 Acetal GPU block and a '77 Bonneville HC.

My options are the MCW-6002 (now that they are instock), and the DD TDX. Or if I can find a G5 for $50-$60 I would get that bad boy :D . Would my optimal block change whenever I switch pumps?

O yeah, this is going to be cooling a SD 3700 if that makes any difference.

th 6002 will outperform the TDX in almost any situation. it's not usually a big enough difference to affect your OC. the 6002 also does much better than the TDX under conditions of low flow, meaning that you would probably see better results with it and the mag 3.

if you find a G5 for the above mentioned price..............i WILL curse you.
