How practical are air conditioned cases?

I've heard of cases that have a dedicated built-in air conditioner, how beneficial and practical are these?

I assume the heat would have to be sent out a window via a tube or something.
 
Well if your talking about a Case with Phase Change Cooling http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l1/g41/Phase_Change.html, I would say there not very practicle for everyday use. A major problem with these are condensation. you have to use Dielectric grease an coat everything near the CPU with it so that no air gets near the cooling head. You also have to insulate around it including the back side of the motherboard.
There great for Extreme overclocking and to help make your E-Penis larger but just not good for everyday use.

I think the op is talking about actual AC. I've never really seen the purpose when most PCs are used in air conditioned rooms anyway. You're just using more power and adding even more heat to the room it's in causing THAT AC to use more power also.
 
Condensation is not a problem for the CPU or MB where the entire case is cooled. Any condensation will take place on the ouside of the case (where the warm moist air contacts the cool case) the internals will remain dry.
The power issue is a real one though.
