ok just wondering how often you guys change your coolant? ive been doing it approx every 3 months. any other suggestions? when i do change the fluid i flush out the entire system first then i refill it, let it run for a bit then flush it out again before finally refilling it for the last time.

It's a good idea to clean things out every once in a while, but if you have no growth, there's really no need to. The water should stay pretty much the same, maybe get a little foggy, but mine never gets that bad. Flushing the system isn't a bad thing, but it may not be necessary that often, it depends on your system.

We put a little bit of bleach into my friend's system and it kept everything from growing in it. As long as it doesn't eat away the hoses, I have had good luck with bleach to kill algae and mold, and mildew and all living water stuff. As for the other forms of like that spontaneously evolve inside of your res....I can't help you.

I just change my coolant when I make changes to the system that require me unhooking the hoses. I never change the coolant for maintinance sake.

I have a bit of Supercool, (the dtek addative) in the loop to protect from growth and corrosion, and I just add a bit more water every year or so to combat vapor leakage through the tubing.

Unless you have a specific problem going on, there is no need to change water.

Speaking of coolant, does the EXOS-AL come with its own pre-mixed coolant when you guy the system? Is it any good if it does?
In some of the pictures it has a bag of liquid in it but I dont know if I'd be better off getting my own distilled water and some Hydrx and mixing it myself.
