How often do you guys seen the 6990s available? Where is a good source besides the ever out of stock newegg?

I am going to execute an immediate purchase once I find a Sapphire, GB, or XFX for sale. Thanks.
 
craigslist... just snagged one for $575. not too bad of a price imo. less than a month old
 
Yeah CL is going to be like a needle in a haystack. I just sold both of my 6970's today. I have my 3rd up and running and I will crossfire it with a 6990 when I get one.

The reason I sold 2 6970's to get a 6990 is due to my absolute need for a PCI-express slot I have to have for my Raid card. On board raid SUCKS BALLS.

Right now I am looking at the Diamond 6990 since frys has them at 699.99.
 
No powercolor? Got my 6990 for $709 from newegg before they disappeared a few weeks ago and it's been running fine. Strange that they seem to be sold out everywhere tho. (or at least most places)
Amazon has some listed, but most seem to be shipping in a few months to a few weeks so most likely also waiting for them to come in.
 
Okay I just got done looking for 2 days straight and can't find a card anywhere.

Did AMD simply discontinue the cards? I cant understand the shortage and complete utter unavailability.

I found one for sale in a city somewhere in the US for 550 but I am waiting to hear back in the email. (but I wont tell where) I hope he gets back with me.
 
Bitcoin miners have bought up all the dual GPU AMD cards they can get their hands on.

I would love to sell one of my 6970's and get a 6990 for tri-fire. I just don't know if I can take anymore heat from my PC. Summers here in Florida are pretty hot as is and we have both our rigs in the same room. When we are both gaming it's like an inferno.

might be time to sell my 6990 and just grab an xfx 6970 lol
 
its great but i play tf2, and rpg games... and i downgraded from 2560x1600 to 1080p so now its just massive overkill, once the i7 rig is sold on here ill be listing the 6990 i think
 
Let me know if you do. I have a xfx 6970 that I would probably trade with cash or other items from my FS thread for the 6990. Right now I'm running 5760 x 1080 with 2 6970's but will probably be upgrading to a higher res later on.

Keep me in mind if you do want to part ways with it.
