• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

How much would this help?

Ok, so i have been thinking about things that i can speed up my pc, and i have decided since my sata drive recently started clicking for some reason. That i need some 10,000 RPM sata drives.

I have to decide if i should get two or one, and set them up in either a RAID 0, or 1.

What do you think?

I had a raptor a long while back when they 1st came out only thing I can rember is they run hot with no active cooling. They are seemingly fast ill give them that.

I would highly suggest performing a backup asap if you haven't.

You might want to poke around the disk storage forum a bit to make an informed decision RE: raid. There is a fairly narrow range of applications that will benefit from a level 0 array.

What do you use your box for mainly?

i mainly use the box for gaming.

BTW ever since my last laptop formatted for no reason i have religously used an external 250 gig hdd to backup all of my files at least once a week.

Ouch  ! Well at least you have a backup implemented now :)

As far as raid 0 and gaming goes, it may leave you a bit dissapointed. You could end up taking a performance hit vs a single drive due to the increased seek time. A/V editing is where a level 0 array really shines. The sustained transfer of large files far outweighs the increased latency in finding the files in that case. Check out this from the sticky if you have not already. Also this anandtech article is a pretty good read.
