How much would a basic rackmount setup cost?

Once I get a job and get some money income, I intend to hopefully get a good rack and some rackmount cases to convert my computers over. I was wondering a few things about this though:
1.) What are some good places to get rackmount equipment for cheap?
2.) How much would it cost for a good rack around 13U-19U?
3.) How hard is it to get parts for, cool, and maintain a 1U computer? I intend to stick some old P3's or Celerons in some boxes eventually but I don't want to waste 3U or 4U cases on just simple computers with ram and maybe a NIC that are just doing simple things, no massive hard drive space or RAID arrays or anything.

1) I got tons of rack stuff for cheap :) and if i don't, i'll show you where to get stuff cheap
2) For a rack of that size, expect to pay about $100... they seem to be a little more rare and harder to find.
3) Easy. But you have to remember, you pay about $100 for a 1U case w/ PS but then you have to spend about $20 in low profile heatsinks.

I personally recomend the Super Micro SC12LB or the SC12L rack 1u case just because it is so short in depth (14") and you can get them around $110 with a power supply brand new.

Yeah cases are expensive.. I've got my eye set on the antec series that newegg carries.. only issue is their 200$ or so..
