ive got a XFX 5900XT that oced to 465/965 then i bios flashed it and now it is @ 470/977 ( bios dosnt reduce latency just bumps volts and eliminates throttle )
the damn thing auto detects all the way up to 510 but its not stable any higher than 473 due to heat i beleive..... it will past the test in driver for OC all the way up to 535... so will adding a koolance allow me to reach this lofty speed of 525/977 for my $180 card?
P.S ill be using AS5 and Distled water wtih 10%water wetter

beacause the koolance will kool my next 2-3 upgrades not just this one :) i plan on getting a 6900 whenever they come out and until then abuse this nasty filthy sick Ocing card

I wouldn't be able to tell you if the koolance would help you reach those speeds, but I can say that in my experience you can expect about a 10mhz increase from what you have * IF THE HARDWARE CAN HANDLE IT * sounds like you close to hardware limitations on that thing,

I made that upgrade to a Koolance last holiday season and apart from my room being O SO MUCH cooler from less heat, i would say the upgrade is well worth it. I got about 20mhz more on my 9800 OC and then about 40mhz more stability on my A64 3400. The stability is up there now too as the usual air oc sometimes can crap out when the room is hot. Not saying that doesn't come into play, but it happens far less. I can't remember the last time i had a puter freeze from Ocing... and i feel i OC quite a bit, having pushed my A64 to 219 fsb. ;)

Pros...
1) increas OC
2) less heat
3) less noise
4) pretty (you know you want all your friends to think your SUPER NERD, i did ;) )

Cons...
1) a bish to change components
2) waiting for you case to dry out after changing hoses (which you should have to do much) is a pain when there is a new x800xt sitting in a box smiling at you.

made hoses long enough to allow install just outside case all in all only about 3 feet of hose inside the comp im begining testing now and will report back before night is threw on my new OC i BET i hit 500+ not just a measily 480 hehe gl to me

we all have to have a hobby  bet i have a better job than you though :p
oh yeah i hit 505/977 woot :) now on to the cpu

Just go water and get an MCW50-T. This will be better then anything else you can put on your GPU. I ran 511/389 on my old 9800 pro with one. Got me 6888 on 3DMark03. Seemd like a lot at the time...amazing how you look at things once you get an X800XT/PE ;)
Koolance suck ass for the $. You can build a MUCH better setup yourself.

bought it used everything uncluded for under 200...... and im getting great temps, no doubt build your own is better but koolance in a HUGE improvment on AIR! :) good enough for me :)

are you ... the guy that emailed me?
nevermind it was someone else watercooling a 3.0...couldnt quite get what my air setup is doing...

Time to swap the peltier to 125W one. Make it freeze :) Do heavy volt modding :) BTW, Koolance is quite good for the $. Yes I can build much better setup (5-7c better) if I decides to stick to my $200 case for a while when BTX might be just around corner... -_-;
Too bad you can't find much good water cooling set deals on e-bay. But you sure can find one for exos :)

yeah had to bump the Vcore to 1.68 (1.7 in bios) to get 252 stable and now ram is the problem... not willing to reduce my latency so ill stop here unless going from 3.0vdimm to 3.2vdimm will help ;) still 3.79 aint to shabby :)

I sell great rads, tubing, and fans for H20 cooling. :) Guess that is why I would only build, never buy a pre made setup deal. Well, besides my Mach II. :p
