How much volts does a 9800Pro need?

I've got a Powercolor 9800 Pro 128MB and I'm wondering exactly how many volts it needs as per its specification. Ever since I got my P4P800 mobo, there's a setting there called "AGP VDDQ Voltage" that's been set to 1.50V. The available options are 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 and 1.8.

Anyway, I kinda remember reading somewhere that a 9800 Pro needs 1.7V or something. Does that mean I need to change this setting in the BIOS to 1.7V?

It's not like I'm having any probs with it now. 3dmark03 at 5990 seems about right for my setup without OCing the video card, I'm just wondering if it does indeed need 1.7V and whether I might get more performance out of it at the correct voltage settings.

Please advise, thanks! :D

I think you will be ok, just keep an eye on the heat or it will lock up and shut down the computer....don't believe me? try far cry at max graphics settings....that cost me a new power supply...LOL

I run mine at 1.8V but that card is hungry...I usually suggest at least 1.6V and preferably 1.7V for it. It won't help overclocking much if at all, but it can help stabilize the card. But really the setting isn't all that important...if the card is stable as is, don't worry about it. 6k does seem about right for your setup as well (no OC).

ahem

that doesnt change the AGP voltage, that changes the northbridge signaling voltage. AGP is affected but its not as important as you think
