Well im sitting here right now trying to oc this opteron 175 (JH9-E6), and to my understanding, dual cores are more picky for overclocking then single cores.
Stats of this machine:
Opteron 175 (thermalright SI120)
DFI LP NF4 expert
2x1gb mushkin XP4000 (samsung UCCC)
EVGA 7900GT (529/855)
OCZ 520ADJ/SLI 520w psu
Right now im sitting here trying get this opteron to 2700mhz (2750mhz / 250 mem 1:1 is the target) I'm pushing 1.51v (according to bios) thru the proc and im just wondering how high can I go w/o physical problems It gets up to 38c with orthos running which is pretty low considerings my single core 146 gets higher, but then again there is much better cooling here. .
It just feels like I can push this system harder than I am, but whats safe?
