How Much Space Do You Have

currently
74GB Raptor
4 x WD2500JD in RAID5
soon to be replaced by 4 x WD3200JD

Server:

300 GB
250 GB
8x200GB in raid5 so (-200GB)
(waiting on 500gb satas to come out now)
1.95tb

Old server
(forgot drive sizes) 920gb

Work comp
480GB

Work comp 2
80gb

Work comp 3
160gb

Laptop:
80gb

External:
300gb, 2x160gb, 2x80gb

Then a lot of dvdrs/cdrs. Main server may be a little slow because the raid is encrypted using AES so decryption on the fly may slow down some tranfers.

Main Rig: 2x 250GB WD Sata Drives
Server: 2x 120 WD IDE Drives <--- Looking to expand that soon though :)

Laptop: 10GB
Laptop 2: 6GB

AMD POS: 20GB WD IDE

Its enough for me...

My main rig:
80 gigs 7200RPM IDE Maxtor
250 gigs 7200RPM IDE Maxtor
120 gigs 72000RPM SATA Seagate

1x 74GB Western Digital SATA Raptor
3x 250GB Western Digital 7200RPM 8MB Cache SATA special edition

I'm aiming for another raptor and one more 250 for an even terrabyte (although some loss in partition and format). Not high on the list right now however, I have plenty of room for now.

I don't have much storage compared to a lot of you guys.

1 x Seagate 160GB
1 x Western Digital 160GB

I only have like 420 gigs or so on my main machine. Have over a tb full on other servers and what not. I'm in the process of getting enough porn for world peace. One day I will hit that amount but I will need some more hd space.......

In the system in my sig:
1x 36GB Raptor (boot)
1x 30GB IDE Maxtor (scratch)
2x 60GB IDE Maxtor (storage)
1x 160GB IDE Maxtor (storage)

Hmmm I guess I just don't use much HD space. I try to keep my systems clean and free of lots of clutter. Anyway:

Main Gaming Rig:
1 x 74 gig raptor
1 x 120 gig barracuda

laptop:
1 x 20 gig toshiba

Dual PIII server (not a storage server, a distcc client for my lappy...hence the tiny drive)
1 x 4.5 gig maxtor (lol)

Random T-bird box of mine:
1 x 40 gig WD Caviar

Man, some of you guys have a ton of storage. I had two 120 gig ide maxtors but wanted to go with SATA, so I put in two 80 gig seagates. I kept one of the 120's as an external hd.

desktop 1 - 95% full
-2x250
-3x120
desktop - 50% full
-1x40
- 2x80
Laptop1 - 15% full
-1x40
-1x100 external

total=1.2tb

Server:
8x 250 GB

Hot Swap:
4x 250 GB

Other Computers:
2x 30GB
2x 60GB
1x 300GB
1x 10GB

Total:
3.490 TB

heck if i know. i got too many computers i dont use and my BF, or whatever he is, is building me a RAID i think. 3 160g seagates HD's, water cooling, recyclin my 9600, dvd burner, and i dont know what motherboard and chip is in the dang thing

Dear god you people use a lot of HD space.

System 1:

80 GB 7200RPM Seagate Sata x 2
80GB 7200 RPMG External Enclosure Western Digital

240GB Total

System 2:

60GB 7200 Western Digital

Laptop: 20gb ide
Main Rig: 74gb (guess which drive comes in 74gb size)
120gb ide
80gb ide

Total: 294 gb all my drives are full except the raptor which is only half full. I need more drives bad!

Main system:
2 x 120 GB
1 x 80 GB

other systems:
4 x 20 GB
1 x 15 GB

That totals to roughly 385 GB useable disk space. That stays somewhere around 80% filled...I just keep burning stuff to DVD to make room for more.

Planned:

File server:
20 GB
4 x 300+ GB (RAID 5)

Main system:

2 x 120 GB (RAID 1)...unless I can afford Raptors before then.

Wife's system:

1 x 80 GB

Assorted test/play systems, plus old laptop:

20+ GB each

For a total of about 1.5 TB

Laptop: 40gb
Wife's Machine: 80gb
Game Machine: 80gb
Server/Workstation: 200+300+160(x2 in Raid 1)
Sitting on Desk: 400gb

Total: 1.42TB (not counting flash/optical storage)

Used? Less than half.
