1.2TB. The IDE bus just doesn't have the bandwidth that I need. I was originally planning on going with an SCSI raid array, but the cost ended up being too high. I can work a full shift inbetween file transfers. Well, maybe I just need smaller transfers.
Let's see...
30 GB in laptop
2x 120 GB in workstation
2x 9 GB in server for OS
14x 36 GB in external SCSI array
40 GB in spare PC
-------
832 GB total
Thats what I have in use, I also have 3 more 36 GB SCSI disks, a few 18's, and a couple 20-30 GB IDE drives laying around not in use. And I'm still running out of room
about to upgrade my setup so i'll have a 160gig SATA, then later on the server will have 80 gig on main controller and two 20 gig on raid, they're identical drives, so why not.
36.7GB SCSI
320GB SATA
100GB USB
80GB USB
2TB of CD-Rs, I'm sure at least half of them are bad.
I'm about to buy another 320GB SATA drive. DVD ISOs are HUGE.
(This is all in one machine, and doesn't include the various 15GB drives, 20GB drives, and 10-15 40GB drives I have laying around, all full of backup stuff.)
Let's see... I have a 300GB Seagate SATA in my rig... I also have a 120GB WD IDE, a 200GB Maxtor IDE... and I just bought a 400GB Seagate IDE for my external....
... And this weekend, I'm giving away the WD and Maxtor to my folks for their computers.... Should I just buy a new 320GB WD to make up for the space?
(... Actually, I'm planning on buying a 400GB Seagate SATA this weekend for my rig... )

And a few more I can't think of right now
total:
290.85gb plus 3TB in cds yes, around 5k cds
most drives are full even the old ones. I really need a 3-4TB storage array to get it all into one place then another few Terabytes for new stuff.
DADS (Dad's workstation, kept from total collapse by yours truly) (7 drives)
2x 160GB Maxtors
160GB WD-JB
2x 36GB WD-GD (Do as I say, not as I do )
250GB WD-JB
200GB Maxtor
Since my brother moved out, I've fallen below 3TB - I'm sitting at 2836GB. If you count his 120GB Maxtor and 160GB WD, it shoots up to 3116GB. Without bro's box, there's 31 drives. Quite the motley crew, mostly rebate specials and SCSI castoffs. Personaly, I am partial to the Fujitsu MAP drive (which keeps my server going) and the two Samsung drives. I will update my sig.
2x200 sata
1x160 ide
2x120 ide
2x60 ide
around 50 gb of misc, ide
=====
970 gb. Some drives are mirrors, so the total usable (and used!) is actually more like 780gb.

I have a pair of 500MB IBM laptop drives with adapters for IDE+Molex. One of these days, I'm gonna borrow someone's IDE RAID card and put em in RAID 0 for a whopping ONE GIGABYTE of striped sexiness. Oh yes.
