how much ram for file server

is 512MB ram ok for a file server, this is just a simple raid 0 server for my home to share porn and stuff like that nothing for a business.

other specs,
athlon 1700 i think its 1400MHZ thats what i set it to in bios and it posts at 1466
512MB RAM
A7N8X Nforce 2 motherboard

2 X 500GB maxtor SATA drives
 
Depending on what OS you chose and what other services are going to be run on this system 512MB can be plenty, a reasonable amount or completely insufficient.

Since you suggest that all you do is filesharing some pr0n at home, I would think that 512MB are more than sufficient.
