Hi all,
I'm looking for some suggestions for a new power supply. It will go into my current system for now but I'd like to buy one that I can migrate when I build my new machine.

My current system:
P4 2.4 @ 3/3.2 GHz
Abit AI7 (i865p)
2x 512mb OCZ EL PC4000 DDR (@ 250/270 fsb)
ATI x850 pro VGA (flashed to 850XT PE)

2x ATA 160gig HD's
2x SATA 250gig HD's
LG GSA 4163B DVD-RW
D-Link wireless G (PCI card)
Audigy 2
UltraTV 1500 MCE (PCI)
1 Floppy drive (ehehehe)
all running on:
Enermax EG 365P-VE
----------------------------------------
Next System:
AMD x2 (or Dual core FX, overclocked Opteron or Dual-Quad Pentium)
motherboard ? (whatever goes best with CPU)
2 gig ram
ATI x1900xt (or better) not SLI
4x SATA HD's (the two I own and 2 more)
D-Link wireless G (PCI card)
Audigy 2 (or better)
UltraTV 1500 MCE (PCI)
1 Floppy drive (ehehehe)

How much power do I need ?

Thanks,
Peter

There is a FAQ either here or in the case modding section of the forum that gives a list of the rough power draw of each component in a PC. There is actually a website that is interactive and does this for you, but I forgot the URL.

you are assuming he is using SATA1 here....if he runs SATA 2 then I think atleast 2 million gigawatts.

Fuck it use a nuclear reactor.

in all seriousness, any good 500-600w supply would work
