Basically, I'm all about saving money right now, and to do that, I've been thinking about selling off my P4 2.4b o/c'd to 3.06, IT7, XMS2700 512mb (can run 206 at 2.5-3-3-7, can probably even go higher) and replacing it with a mobile AXP 2500+, A7N8X-E Deluxe, and 2x some brand of PC3200 or PC3500 512mb sticks. In theory this should save me around $50-100, which I can really use for other places right now, but would it be worth it? Would an overclocked mobile 2500+ be comparable to my old 3.06ghz P4 without HT in most of the general application and gaming I do? I mean, I know on stuff like encoding it may run slower, as that tends to be more pure clock speed than anything else, but do you guys think many games and such will run noticably slower (oh yeah, I've got a Radeon 9700np)?
Plus there's the fact I always wanted to own an AMD system...
