How much longer do you think we are going to see MIniDV being put into camcorders. I know most family camcorders are either HDD or some type of flash, but I still see a few new ones coming out with MIniDV. How long do you think its got?
 
It's only a matter of time before all camcorders, prosumer and professional got to tapeless. Right now the Hard drive and flash memory options are still very expensive compared to tape or dissc media. Although alot of news stations still request that you send footage on a mini DV, I would be within the next 10 years you will see most all the new video cameras be tapeless and either have falsh memory or SSD.
