How much is your E6850 OCed?

Sup mah dawgs,

So I got my E6850 in the mail today, popped it in and OCed it immediately to 3.6GHz and it works awesome, it's even significantly cooler than my E6400 that was OCed to 3.2GHz. I'm just curious as to how high you've gotten your E6850 and if it's on air or watercooling and how you got it that high and what steps you took to make sure it's stable, etc, etc.

I am looking forward to getting that cpu over the E6600 but i have heard that the E6600 overclocks better.

My last atempt at overclocking was taking the cpu in my sig up to 3.0Ghz but I didn't see any real world gains.

How far have people taken the E6850 is something I would really like to know about as well and if so what kinds of performance gains have you seen ?

The E6600 has a hard time getting much higher than 3.6Ghz. The G0 stepping E6850 and E6750 chips can definately reach 4Ghz with as much trouble as it took to get an E6600 to 3.6Ghz.

With my E6750, I can post at 4.16Ghz (1.6v), but Windows fails to load. I didn't bother getting it stable at that speed since I didn't have time.

As I said in the other thread in reply to your question about the overclock potential, both the E6750 and E6850 share the same 4Ghz potential because they are similarly binned.
