i was just wondering....exactly how much 'rice' is too much? i have a couple of stickers on my case and im starting to think that its a little too much..maybe
here is the most recent pic of my case that i can give u guys even though its about 4 months old.
compstuff.msnw

My case basically still looks like that but it just looks more ghettofied with ghetto mods and different stickers. So can someone tell me what the max amount of stickers i can have on my comp without making it look extremely stupid? thanx

it's to much now. If you ever have to ask, then it's to much :p

my advice; Mod it without the use of stickers.

thanx for the suggestions guys, but how should i make my case look better without having to spend a full afternoon of cutting up my case in the garage? Also, i am only limited to being able to use a holesaw and a power drill since my dad thinks its dangerous for me to be cutting up comp cases :(

You do what you think you need or looks good to you. On my new case just doing a really good job on the wiring was enough for that case. On my antec 1035B I went all out and had it air brush and did a nice cut out and good wiring.

If your happy with your system temps you don't need to cut blow holes. Maybe sand the case down and paint it your favorite color. See if your dad will let you use a dremel. You can cut pretty much any size hole and design with a dremel and fiberglass cutoff wheels and I consider those safe long as you wear safety glasses.

i was just thinking...would giving my case flames that look more realistic be more effective? like intead of using cheap paper and crayons, i use vinyl/electrical tape.
sorry if this seems like a dumb question

No offense or anything but those stickers look like they were made by a 6 year old. My sarcasm detector is broken today so I don't know if this post is a joke or not. (some of your questsions are  )

My advice:

Take all the stickers off the case, if you're not happy with how it looks then go by a stock lian li and leave it as is.

Just get some balls and decide for yourself what looks good and what doesn't. Quit seeking validation for your Crayola stickers from people on the internet... if you like it, keep it, if you don't, then don't.

the best mods, imho are the ones that look the cleanest. Stickers are not neccessary at all.

If anything, just use 1 sticker that shows who you are... everything else is just unneccessary.

btw, anything that says "NOS" is grounds for a kick in the bawls.

ok, i just finished taking every wannabe looking sticker off of the case and it looks much cleaner, i never thought doing that would make such a big difference being that i am not very open to trying new things unless i am really convinced to do so.

There are different tastes, of course. My rig is so un-rice that I never bothered to show it here. It has mods, but they have a purpose. I consider rice to be mods for mods sake. Forms that do not follow any function, if you will. It's different strokes for different folks.

Yeah, like when Corrugated put shiny rims on Heavy Metal. That's rice. He could have gone with plastic ones

/sarcasm

why the hell would somebody care if they put stickers on their box? i cant stand it when ppl worry rediculous stuff like that.

If you really want flames on your case, I wouldn't resort to crayons and paper. Much better idea for simple flame painting:

1. Draw simple flame pattern on sheet of cardboard about the size of your side panels. If you can't draw flames, download a template.
2. Cut out cardboard on the interior of your flame template.
3. Acquire can of red spray paint. If your feeling really artistic you could get a can of orange as well.
4. Remove side panels.
5. Put cardboard template over side panel.
6. Spraypaint. You could use one color and then the other for some sort of layering effect.
7. DO NOT MOVE CARDBOARD!
8. Let dry.

This should come out pretty decently. Best part is, you don't have to resort to more risky sanding/cutting to have a nicer case. I''m pretty sure your dad would let you spraypaint your side panels.

hey thanx for the tips siege, but i have already improved my case's looks w/ racing stripes made out of black electrical tape earlier today...i wish i had a digicam to show my 'new' case.. :(

lmao dude, thats awesome! electrical tape for racing stripes! i give you props for starting out in whatever manner is open to you. I'm assuming you are still pretty young, so good job on being creative, just keep thinking of new things to try out! :D Once you get some cash flowing in you'll find more inventive things to do

i can't help but mod. i had my case for 2 hours before i cut into it with my dremel. lol
