How much drop in FPS should I expect?

If I switch from a 15inch CRT monitor to a 22inch Widescreen 1680 x 1050 native resolution LCD display?

I used to get average 55FPS with my 6600GT playing FEAR.

Depends on what settings you use....

i forget exactly what settings i had before and after i made my upgrade but i remember i had to drop the visual quality quite a bit on my ati x700 pro by more than i was comfortable with

Athlon XP 2500+ barton core. (stock speed)
Abit AN7 FSB400 mobo.
2 x 512MB kingston dual channel PC3200 RAM (Value ram)
Galaxy 6600GT AGP.
3 HDD, (1 sata, 2 IDE, does this even matter?)

and my old clunker 15inch CRT samsung syncmaster at 1024x768.

Played FEAR on medium/high setting with average FPS of 55.

amd athlon xp 2200
512mb ram
geforce 4 ti 4200
40 gig hd
gigabyte k7 triton mobo
now isnt that great :

oh and last summer my vid card burnt so i havent been gaming in months i too will be going to a 22'' screen but will be having a c2d6600 and 8800gtx so im not worried
