how much difference is there between 400:1 and 600:1

i can't decide on the 1703FP or 1801FP, the 17's contrast is 600:1, but the 18's is 400:1.

how much difference is there really?

I have both of these lcd's and I can't tell the difference in contrast.

That's weird, because I could see a huge difference between my 1900FP and my 2001FP...it was really apparent when watching widescreen movies and I had the black bars above and below the picture. They were much lighter on the 2001FP, and yes, my brightness and color temperature settings are rather low.
