i have not seen any reviews that have both cards directly compared.

i was wondering exactly what are you getting for shelling out the extra money.

what kind of ratio am i looking at, like price=+25% performance=+15% ??
 
Well generally it means you can run in one higher resolution and get the same performance. Actually though on most machines over 3GHz you really have to go up to 1600x1200 in a game to notice the difference.

I've heard as little as a 1% difference in some games and as much as 35% on others. It just depends on how CPU limited the game is and on what resolution your running.
 
ah ok, i was just wondering.

i am not hurting for an x800 like i was for the 9800 i got now :) (from original radeon64mb)

ill probably wait till i can go all-out-64bit upgrade w/ pci-e and the whole shebang :D
