hey guys if i get a power supply that has over 420 watts will it affect my comp??

and what watt do u recommend for a gaming comp?

i am not buyin one i just wanna see how much should a good gaming comp have (not a really good but a decent one)

Well it isn't all about the watts. The quality of the power and the way it is delivered (amps on certain rails etc) are what is most important. Take a look here for how to shop for one:

And here for recommended supplies:

And remember you get what you pay for with a PSU and it is often the most underrated part of your computer......and it is your first line of defense from that nasty real world AC power.
