Hi, everyone!
I have a question, I have a server Dell M910 with four processors Xeon X7550 8x2Hz) and a lot of memory (128 Gbs per server). I want to host virtial machines on the base of Xen. How many vms my machine will be able to host?

Well, 50 is the official supported max number of guests for Xen.

The truthful answer is it will depend on what you are running, and your storage speeds. You will bog down on Memory & Storage before all else,I don' know specifically with Xen, but typically ran 10-14 VMs with 2x Xeon 5570's and 96GB of Ram with no major issues, at roughly 60-70% memory usage on each host. Had more storage space issues then anything else.

This should also get moved to Virtualized Computing.

No mention of storage, no mention of duty of servers.

This is the proverbial "How long does it take to install XXX". Totally an open ended question.

Isn't the M910 a blade server?

Do you have a M1000e chassis to go with it?

My old datacenter had that chassis and blades, couldn't tell you how many VM's on each as I don't recall, but it was a bit, running under Hyper-V

It would be interesting to see how bhyve would perform on such a box.

details as noted, you have told us very little over all..

What kinds of VMs?
What is your I/O / storage,

Almost always people will saturate I/O or Memory long before CPU.
