I have my ati silencer 4 installed for about a week now, so I figured its time to "shoot for the sky"

my temp per ati tool on gpu is 59º C
so Im thinking thats fine

the other thing I was wondering was about adjusting memory timings via ati tool?

I was suprised to find these settings there, and wonder how safe/effective it would be to play around with them to get higher mem speeds?
 
Video cards can handle high temps much better than CPU's. For reference, 70C+ underload (using rthdribl) is no problem.
 
Find Max Mem works fine, but for Find Max Core you should set each clock to be tested for 30 minutes. The newer cards tend not to have artifacts for core, but rather freeze, and it can be difficult to determine max core.

Cards are made to last up to ~128C but are made for 75C ideally (and not past 85C).

You can download the mem spec sheets from Samsung if you want to know the detailed timings on the memory, but be aware that things aren't always as listed and even ATI Tool may report incorrect starting values. It is best not to mess with them, IMHO, as many can damage your card and the memory has been highly optimized as is.
