I guess it depends on your definition of budget. Certainly the system you put together is not the ulitimate in gaming, but I believe you did quite with regard to your choice of components.

Sorry to hear about your house. I trust that no one was injured. It is always difficult starting over again.

For the price that's not too bad of a system. The only thing that would scare me is the "no-name 680W PSU." :).

and i do consider this one budget considering ,y last one was an athalonxp 2400 i had over 2900 with the monitor apple lcd 23inch dam fires suck but inshurance is good cant wait to get that check

I'd say you got a decent system, except I'd have picked 1 80gb instead of 2 40gb disks (lower power consumption, noise, less heat), a 90nm Socket 939 Athlon 64 for the higher speed, lower heat, greater upgradability and lower power consumption, gone with non-ripoff RAM like Corsiar Value Select and poured the cash into a 6600GT. But that's just me.

The Super Flower supplies aren't bad, but they're far from being the best buy around. In the future I recommend you go with an Antec True or NeoPower, or an Enermax Noisetaker model.

Not too shabby although you probably could have done better if you had the patience and the timing. Sometimes Dell offers deals which are so incredible that I really see no reason to build a machine unless those extra mhz gained by overclocking are really worth it.

For instance, this is what I got for ~$500 pending sale of the Dell E193Fp moniter.

Intel 630(3ghz)
1024mb ddr2
x800xl
xp pro
