How is the new COD: AW?

Tempted to pick it up for my xbox one, haven't played a COD since black ops and would love a new fps to play on my xbox (only one I own atm is plants vs zombie's lol). So for those of you that bit on it, how is it? Worth the money? More interested in feedback from those that have played it, unless you have a decent reason as to why you didn't buy it. It's a toss up between this or the Master chief collection as I wont have the money to splurge on a new game till after Christmas.
 
I have been playing it on PC and I am very impressed and happy. Totalbiscuit also recommends it. Movement is a big part of the fun and the EXO abilities. it makes for a much higher skill ceiling.
 
sweet, ya I keep hearing good things about it, I might grab it now and just get halo after Christmas. Normally he call of duty series end for me when the inrush of community fracturing dlc's come out so I tend to enjoy call of duty most when its fresh. With there being no dlc for halo (that I know of)to worry about it should be the same now or in 2 months.
 
I have it for the PS4... it exceeded my expectations thus far, definitely better than COD: Ghost
 
If ADS was faster like the previous iterations, I would be fully satisfied. I find ADS is way too slow in this iteration... :(. Still fun for movement though, and still miles better than Titanfall.
 
I haven't played a CoD game since CoD2 but just watched the Conan's Clueless Gamer bit and this one actually looks interesting. CALL OF SHOOTY HERE I COME!!! :D
 
I was really surprised how much totalbiscuit liked it, sounds like a real departure from earlier versions
 
It is good so far.

I am getting my ass kicked, but I am out of CoD practice a few years. The twitch gameplay is hard.
 
Like it so far feels like titan fall minus the titans and a lot more fun.
 
yeah. game has a good feel and MP maps mostly feel balanced. SP is solid as well. Big surprise from a COD game. Its definitely one of the good CODs.
 
Traded in Cod Ghosts and Black Ops 1 at Best Buy and got AW for $35 (PS4 version). Definitely a better game than Ghosts.

The lag is pretty bad right now and the matchmaking seems a little weird, but what else is new for a COD launch? The game is actually pretty fun otherwise; more than I can say for the last two iterations.
 
I find myself playing the classic playlist because of the non air jumping mechanic. AW feels much more smooth and fluid compared to Ghost. I very rarely see any frame drops.
 
The other thing thats minor but striked me is that this is one of the first 'next gen' games where all of the people dont seem to have 'dead eyes', when talking or looking around. They did the motion capture animation pretty good.
 
I enjoy it. My kids like it. Good game. Definitely a step in the right direction (away from the same game/different maps from the previous games).
 
I'm enjoying it. I enjoyed Ghosts ridiculous SP, but felt the multi-player offered huge maps with the 8P max was sucky. AW seems fun all the way around. Both SP and MP are solid for me to run around and die. :D :(

Still, it's a well-rounded blast on the 360.
 
It's worth it in my opinion. I've got around 27 hours in on the multiplayer at this point. Prepare yourself for faster crazier gameplay compared to previous COD games.

I enjoy the exo jumping and dodging abilitis sometimes for navigating the maps but some guys are just ridiculously good at jumping around like rocket men and completely owning you...

I'm having a heck of a time not ending up at the bottom of the scoreboard... It can be quite frustrating at times but I guess this isn't totally a new phenomenon for COD games... I played an 8 minute game where one guy got 92 kills... most people were 30-40. I got 8. LOL.

Yes, all but Kevin spacey dont have the dead eyes. The "uncanny valley" is slowly getting crossed.
 
Best COD since MW1 and that's saying something. Feels like fresh air even though it's a total ripoff of Titanfall minus mechs but sadly I think Activision pulled it off better than Respawn.
