How is normal 8.10 performance compared to 8.9?

Is there any increase in performance? I'm currently using 8.9 and wondering if its worth upgrading to 8.10
 
Not really, performance is about the same. New drivers have mostly been about fixing issues and bugs so far. The drivers have also been quite messy so far - a leaked beta would fix an issue but then it would return again with the release of the next official driver etc. They're improving, though. Soon maybe the catalyst team can focus on performance improvements instead. Except for the supposed Far Cry 2 issue (don't have it yet so I can't check), I've found the 8.10's to be stable and problem free.
 
I would recommend updating your drivers if you have a problem with them or if you're getting poor performance. Otherwise, what's the point?
