How important is panel type for eyefinity?

Ive heard ppl say you need better than TN because the side panels are at an angle, but that inflates price so much since you are buying 3 panels. Otoh, since you arnt actively looking at the side panels most of the time, I didnt think picture quality would be such an issue.

Is anyone here using 3 TNs for eyefinity? how does it look?
 
TN panels would suck if you were doing Eyefinity with portrait view, but in landscape view it probably wouldn't be a big deal. TN panels have okay side viewing angles which is pretty much what you care about in landscape view. They have godawful vertical viewing angles.

You'd probably be best off with nicer panels though... Dell 2209WAs aren't too expensive and they're nice.
 
Well, im currently using a28" and i love the real estate. I dont think I can go lower than 24 for that matter.

I see what you mean about vertical vs horizontal viewing angles.

A problem Ive been facing is finding monitors with display port.
