How hard will it be to score a new wolfdale without a pre-order?

I tend to buy all my parts from Newegg, I was wondering how difficult it is to score a CPU from a big time seller like that on launch day? Do they tend to get it in earlier than other places offering a pre-order? Do they sell out in minutes? Any other advice about ordering my brand new CPU would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks
 
Nobody knows. Normally Intel stocks the channel pretty well for a loss, but if the chip you want is one of the high demand ones (say E8500), you might be out of luck.
