I am building my comp and was having some wierd reading problems with my asus a8n sli deluxe saying my panaflo fan 92mm was failing cause it was under like 1300rpm (figured might just be a bad read), but was installing windows and was hitting like 43C. Now that temp I know is not to bad for a 3700san diego, rather safe actually, just am wondering if it is this hot now, what about under a vigirous game? Any input? Using an XP-90C heatsink. At what temps where do I Start to get worried? I went through that stickied list but did not see 3700SD only the FX with san diego core. thanks.
 
The temp is well within spec, but with an XP-90c you should be seeing alot lower temps. 1300 rpm also seems kind of low for your fan, check the bios for any RPM settings and make sure Cool'n'Quiet is disabled.

To see how hot the CPU is going to get, download prime95 and run the torture test. See what kind of temps you're getting after 10-15 minutes.

If you are not overclocking and your temps reach 50c, I think you should try a different fan (if the panaflo is still reading 1500 rpm) and if that doesn't help try remounting the heatsink with a fresh application of AS5 or simliar.

At stock my Venice 3800+ with the XP-90c never reached 40c running prime.
 
Disabled the cool n quiet and it says my RPM on fan is 0. Will try the prime95 test, what temps should I be hoping to get on it? And where do I get concerned about overheating? And any other ideas? Should I try putting the stock heatsink/fan on or try remounting/reapplying AS5 on my XP-90c? Am afraid to much AS5 will be damaging.
 
my 3700+ SD idles at about 40 with the side of the case on and about 35 with the side of the case off. Your temps are fine, dont even worrya bout it. XP-120 w/ panaflo btw.
 
Yah I worked on it more.

On my 3dmark benchtest got like 9000, and my CPU temp on my aerogate said like 40C but I mean I still get the bios error about it being 0 rpm (the 92mm panaflo) and it looks somewhat slow too. Though I am hoping it is just accurate cause 40C is very good. Also my video card hit just under 50C on it, that pretty good?

try running the cpu fan strait to a molex connector or into a fan controller, i never turn my cpu fan down ever, i always keep it running full voltage and idle any other fans down if i want to
