How far will this HSF get me?

From what I hear this is a very good cooler, but overclocks are not guaranteed. :(

Also celeron is not so good. All that being said I think you should stick with your stock cooler because they are usually pretty good and spending an extra $53 for this is not worth it. You can use that money toward a better cpu. ;)

It's wierd that out of all the place you run into someone from the same city. :D

Haha, 19/mound here...

The cpu is going into a home server, I'm hoping for an overclock between 3.4 and 3.6ghz. People say that Celeron D's overclock very well and that it should not be too hard. I am getting the retail cooler with the CPU, but I'm considering the Zalman because of the sound level that it runs at.
 
Ok. Then yes, I hear the zalman has good performance and low noise level. If noise is a problem then you should get it.
